La moda & i Film. Un connubio sicuramente unico, io amo la moda ed amo in modo esagerato i film. Spesso questi due mondi si sono influenzati e uno ha reso famoso l’altro e viceversa. Da oggi quindi parte la mia nuova rubrica Fashion&Films, relativa a film in ambientazione contemporanea o antica, anche fantasy, se vogliamo.
Fashion&Films. This is a unique combination, I love fashion and I absolutely love films. Sometimes films have made fashion famous and it’s true also the opposite. Today starts my new rubric Fashion&Films, it is about films in a contemporary or old setting, also fantasy, if you want.

Per iniziare, DEVO parlarvi dei “Tre Moschettieri“, film nelle sale in questo periodo che ha svegliato in me l’idea di creare questa rubrica!
Il film, secondo la leggenda, dovrebbe essere ambientato nel 1625, in Francia. Il regno è governato da Luigi XIII e dal cardinale Richelieu.
Ma parliamo di costume. Nel 1600, prima di tutto c’è una grande differenza tra le nazioni, Spagna e Olanda scelgono colori scuri, mentre la Francia predilige colori chiari e luminosi (Luigi XIII nelle foto è vestito di verde accesso, fig.6). Inoltre gli abiti francesi in questo particolare periodo, sia femminili che maschili sono arricchiti da nastri, merletti e fiocchi.
Nonostante i protagonisti siano uomini, i miei commenti iniziano sicuramente dall’abbigliamento femminile.
La moda dell’epoca prevede corpetto attillato con profonde scollature. Le maniche con l’attaccatura molto bassa (foto 1) terminano al gomito. Nella parte inferiore c’è la sopraggonna, con apertura centrale dalla quale si può vedere la sottogonna, di colore accesso e ricamata (fig. 4).Inutile sottolineare il grande uso di gioielli.
Per quanto riguarda il collo a ventaglio (detto alla Stuarda) di Milady (fig.2) e della regina (fig.5) è tipico della seconda metà del 500, ed ha origini spagnole.
As beggining, I HAVE TO talk about the “Three Musketeers” that has made me think about this new blog’s section.
The film was ambiented in 1625, in France. The king was Luigi XIII and there was Richelieu cardinal.
We have to talk about clothing. In the XVII century there were different style between nation, Spain liked dark colors and France light colors (pic.6 Luigi XIII was wearing green clothes). France’s clothes were also rich of bows, lace, ribbons.
Altough the three musketeers are men, I start with women’ dresses.
Women had to wear tight bodices with plunging necklines. There were sleeves, low shoulder (pic.1), that ending at the elbow. On the bottom there is a “overskirt” with central vent where you can see another skirt in a contrasting color (pic.4). The big collar (called Stuarda style) worn by Milady (pic.2) and the queen (pic.5) was from spanish XVI century style.

Parliamo, ora, dell’abbigliamento maschile, il colletto protagonista è quello alto e rigido (detto alla moschettiera). Il farsetto maschile, in questo periodo, è abbastanza aderente e dalla vita abbastanza alta. Il farsetto dovrebbe terminare con una manica lunga ed un grande risvolto (dal nome di paramano) anche se nel film non è del tutto utilizzato. Un’altro dettaglio che non è rispettato nel film è la lunghezza delle brache del re, che in quel periodo sono lunghe al ginocchio, ma in questo film Luigi XIII ha un abbigliamento del tutto contrastante, secondo me, alla sua epoca (fig.6)
Il Re infatti veste in stile tardo-cinquecentesco con calzoni a pallone fino a metà coscia con i tagli verticali che avevano la funzione di mostrare la fodera sottostante.
I moschettieri (fig.7), invece, sono in perfetta sintonia con l’epoca, ed indossano anche il mantello affibbiato su un’unica spalla. Le scarpe, in questo periodo, adatte agli uomini, sono stivali ad imbuto, fino al ginocchio, con un grosso risvolto e dalla punta quadrata. (fig.7).
Now, we can talk about men’s clothes, the most important collar was musketeer style, high and stiff collar. The doublet should finish with long-sleeved and a big cuff, this kind of sleeve isn’t used in the film. Also the king’s length of the slings it isn’t right for this time. The king wear late-XVI-century style with France large trousers with vertical slits where you can see the different cloth’s color.
The musketeers (pic.7) they are perfect for this age, they wear also the cloak over one shoulder. The men’ shoes are the knee-high boots with a big cuff. (pic.7).
